Group Classes 12 Week


12 Week Lifestyle Change

Once a year, Race Elements holds a 12 Week Lifestyle Change. This is a program developed for people that have the following attributes:

  • Unhealthy eating practices.
  • Poor time management.
  • Low motivation towards exercise and nutrition.

One night a week the group gets together at the Race Elements Studio for 2 hours.

Over the 12 weeks the group will be lead in discussion covering the following topics:

  • Takeaway Foods - what's good and bad.
  • The Sad Truth - facts about foods and drinks we consume and their effect on our bodies.
  • Nutrition - including take home recipes.
  • Supplements - special guest speakers who are leaders in their fields.
  • Exercise and Intensities - what works and what doesn't.

After the discussions have ended, a cardio class is conducted. This class runs for 1 hour.

During the 12 weeks there are also the following group challenges:

  • Food Challenge - 4 km time trial to the shops where you are given a list of foods you need to find. Example - something high in fat that is good for you. Answer - nuts.
  • City Adventure Challenge - group challenge involving, walking, running and cryptic problem solving.
