Massive effort .... .Well done to all the crew taking part in the 12 week challenge. It is a massive step up for most of you with many already seeing the rewards for the change in lifestyle. I hope you all had a great night off for Valentines day but remember that the hard work starts again Thursday night.
Congratulations to everyone who took part in the last Tre-X race. To say it was a bit muddy would be an understatement. It was great to see so many people still smiling at the end despite the bad weather. Well done to all our clients on a massive effort and a big shout out to the Race Elements team who placed 3rd. A great effort considering it was Pat's (Tre-X poster boy) first ever race.
Also cu-dos to the guys and girls who took on the Wildside Mountain Bike stage race in Tassie, with a few of the crew taking part and some great results for Josh Keep 3rd under 23 and 6th overall, Andy Fellows 7th open mens and 19th overall and Naomi Hansen 1st veteran womens. Great effort by all.

Eat Less Move MoreWith the 12 week challenge going nuts at the moment it is important to remember that diet and exercise don't have to be as hard as you think. It's simple really eat less and move more. This doesn't mean starve yourself and run a marathon everyday, this means that you need to reduce meals sizes and get off the couch and step up the amount of physical exercise that you do in a week. Be smarter about what you eat and at what time of day e.g. try and limit your carb intake in the later parts of the day, this is when you are less likely to burn them as you are less active (sleeping). Not eating won't help either as your body will go into starvation mode and store all the food you do eat as it doesn't know where it will get it's energy from. You should aim to eat 5-6 small meals during the day, that way your body knows to burn off the energy as it will be getting some more sooner rather than later. With any new diet and exercise program you need to be able to keep on doing it, make it manageable and make sure it fits into your lifestyle and family life. If not, you are more likely to fail and go back into bad habits, use the KISS mentalityKeep It Simple Stupid. If you have any questions about your diet and exercise program speak to your trainer or give Greig a call at the studio. |
